ESCAPE:NYE2012 was KL’s biggest intergalactic dance & hip-hop invasion party organised by LIVESCAPE on New Year’s Eve 2011. My team and I had the privilege to work on the visual identity, key art and the creative communications for this mass invasion. Media and key opinion leaders were given the chance to arm themselves with a cardboard build-a-raygun kit to prepare themselves.
Solution
This was going to be the most anticipated party of the year in Kuala Lumpur, the world possibly the rest of the universe! An intergalactic dance and hip-hop theme in the spirit of classic 50’s sci-fi and monster movies was created to reflect the epic scale that this party was going to have.
An interactive creative invite was also created. This was in the form of a flat-packed cardboard build-a-raygun kit to prepare it’s recipients for the inevitability of the party invasion.These were delivered to key opinion leaders as snap-worthy content to help increase the buzz surrounding Escape: NYE.
